On November 1, 2026, a tournament of the Steppe Wrestling League was held at the Oirat-Arena sports complex in Elista. One hundred fifty wrestlers from Kalmykia, Rostov Oblast, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, and the Donetsk People's Republic took part.
The event included women's wrestling, which organizers described as an important step in developing and popularizing the discipline in the region.
