Annual Buddhist life extension rituals "Nas utdullhn" will begin on November 14, 2026, at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia "Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni" in Elista. The rituals take place ahead of the national holiday Zul, celebrated on December 3, 2026.
Six rituals will be held in the prayer hall on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on November 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29. Believers join monks in prayers to Buddha Amitayus, the goddess Ushnishavijaya, and White Tara for longevity, well-being, and strengthening of life energy. People of any age may participate.
