The Kalmyk American Culture and Arts Foundation will host the 75th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at The Ashi in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey. The evening is the main celebration of 75 years of Kalmyks in America, marking the arrival of the first Kalmyk refugees in the United States in 1951 and 1952.

The official event page lists the gala for 5:00 PM Eastern time at The Ashi, 999 US-1, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902. A community save-the-date from the Kalmyk Heritage Center says valet opens at 4:30 PM and the evening ends at 11:00 PM at The Ashi Hotel in New Jersey. Guests should check the registration page and Instagram updates for the latest arrival time before the night of the event.

The gala is part of a year of anniversary gatherings organized under the Kalmyk American Culture and Arts Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Earlier events in 2026 included a community Tsagaan Sar celebration in Philadelphia and the Naadam Festival in Farmingdale. The November gala is planned as the formal close of that anniversary year.

A special-edition souvenir journal will be distributed at the gala. Families and businesses were invited to place tributes, remembrances, and advertisements, with a submission deadline of October 15, 2026. Questions about the journal and other anniversary events can be sent to events@kalmyksrus.org.

Tickets and registration are handled through the foundation’s Givebutter page. Further program details are expected closer to the date. Organizers have asked the community to follow @75thkalmykusa on Instagram for announcements.

For Kalmyk families in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and farther away, the gala is a chance to mark the history of the American diaspora in one place. The first arrivals came from displaced persons camps in Europe after World War II and built temples, dance groups, and family networks that still hold the community together. The November 28 gathering is meant to honor that history and the people who carried it forward.
