Artists from the Kalmyk State Song and Dance Ensemble Tulpan won awards at the International Competition of Professional Artists named after Sevzhid in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Participants came from Mongolia, Russia, and China. Vladimir Bambarykov, Dorzhi Boskhomdzhiev, and Tseren Derneev received the title of Laureate of the III Degree. Vladimir Bambarykov, chief ballet master and Honored Artist of Kalmykia, was also awarded the medal Excellent Worker of Culture of Mongolia for his contribution to cultural development and performance mastery.
