The Kalmyk American Culture and Arts Foundation is inviting families, businesses, and community members to take part in a special-edition Souvenir Journal marking 75 years of Kalmyks in America. The full-color journal is being created to honor community history and the people who shaped Kalmyk life in the United States. It will be distributed at the 75th Anniversary Gala on November 28, 2026.
Organizers describe the journal as a way to commemorate the community’s story in print. Participants can honor a loved one, share a memory, celebrate a family, or promote a business while supporting the preservation of Kalmyk culture and history. The project is part of the broader 75th anniversary year, which has already included community gatherings such as the Tsagaan Sar celebration and the Naadam Festival.
The journal offers three main ways to appear in the publication. Family tributes and remembrances can celebrate relatives, honor loved ones and ancestors, include a historic photograph, or share a message with the Kalmyk community. Business and organization ads can promote a company, nonprofit, community group, or professional service. Booster messages allow a person or family to add a name or short congratulatory line.
Ad space is available in several sizes. A full page measures 7.5 inches by 10 inches vertical and costs $500. A half page measures 7.5 inches by 5 inches horizontal and costs $250. A quarter page measures 3.75 inches by 4.75 inches vertical and costs $150. A business-card ad measures 3.5 inches by 2 inches horizontal and costs $50. A one-line listing on the Boosters Page costs $25.
Submitters are asked to have their materials ready before sending the form. That includes the selected ad size, the exact wording to be printed, a photograph, logo, or completed advertisement, and the name that should appear in the journal. The submission deadline is October 15, 2026. A QR code on the official flyer leads to the submission form, where participants can choose an ad size, upload content, and receive payment instructions.
Those who need help creating an ad can request design assistance on the form. A committee member will then contact them. Questions can be sent to events@kalmyksrus.org.
The Souvenir Journal is both a keepsake and a fundraising project for the anniversary year. Families and organizations that want to be included can review the flyer, complete the submission form, and send materials before the October 15 deadline.
