The Kalmyk American Culture and Arts Foundation has announced that only 80 tickets remain for the 75th Anniversary Gala of Kalmyks in America. The event takes place on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at The Ashi, 999 US-1, North Brunswick Township, New Jersey. No tickets will be sold at the door, and sales close on November 6, 2026.
The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 5:00 PM, followed by the program at 6:00 PM. Food and wine are included. Guests should plan to arrive on time, as the gala is expected to be a formal community gathering marking 75 years since the first Kalmyk refugees arrived in the United States in 1951 and 1952.
The foundation is organizing the gala as the main celebration of the anniversary year. Earlier events in 2026 included a community Tsagaan Sar gathering and the Naadam Festival. A special souvenir journal will also be distributed at the gala for families and organizations that placed tributes and advertisements.
Tickets can be purchased through the official registration page. Community members are encouraged to buy tickets soon, as the limited remaining seats and the November 6 sales deadline mean the event is likely to sell out.
For Kalmyk families across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the wider diaspora, the gala offers a chance to honor the history of the American community in one place. The first arrivals came from displaced persons camps after World War II and built the temples, dance groups, and family networks that continue today. The November 28 gathering is meant to celebrate that journey and the people who carried Kalmyk culture forward in a new land.
